YS House in Çatalköy sits on a site shaped by challenging topography and tight property boundaries, where the buildable footprint narrows to as little as five meters in places. The design’s primary intent was to place the building with precision and restraint, preserving the existing natural character—including the olive trees—while fully leveraging the site’s rare advantage: sea views even from ground level.

The ground floor is conceived as an open, light-filled living plane that frames the landscape, while the upper level maintains the same sense of openness yet strengthens privacy through a façade system of shutters/screens. Acting as a climatic and visual filter, this envelope orchestrates sunlight, shadow, and views—creating a calm, contemporary home that balances light, scenery, and intimacy.
