The CIU Student Union project reimagines an existing campus facility as a more contemporary, functional, and vibrant social hub. Based on the available data and observed user flows, we reorganized the space to better support everyday scenarios—meeting, waiting, studying briefly, and socializing.

Through new outdoor seating islands, shading elements, and landscape-integrated interventions, the design introduces flexible, day-to-day usability while enhancing comfort and legibility. Our goal was not only to improve performance and atmosphere, but also to elevate the overall identity of the Student Union—bringing it to a new level as a recognizable focal point on campus.
