ART MUSEUM COMPETITION BUENOS AIRES

THIS WAS OUR PROPOSAL FOR AN ARCHITECTURAL IDEA COMPETITION FOR AN ART MUSEUM IN ARGENTINA. WITH ITS’ LOCATION ALONG THE RIVER AND ADJACENT TO CALATRAVA’S PEACE BRIDGE, WE STARTED ARRANGING THE BRIEF REQUIREMENTS AS BUILDING BLOCKS AND THEN MOULDED A SCULPTURAL CANOPY OVER THE TOP WHICH ENCOMPASSES THE STACKED MASSES. THE ENTRANCE HALL ON THE GROUND LEVEL CREATES A NEW PROMENADE WITH A SCULPTURE GARDEN WHICH LINKS THE FOOT BRIDGE AND THE BUSY REAR STREET. THE LARGE VOLUMETRIC INTERIOR WITH DYNAMIC BRIDGES CUTTING ACROSS AND CONNECTING THE GALLERIES CREATES AN AIRY MUSEUM WITH VIEWS CLEAR OVER THE WATER.
